Onyx Point is looking for a Senior Data Officer to join our team and support our federal customer. This program is an evolution for the way DoD programs, services, and combat support agencies access data by providing data consumers (e.g., systems, app developers, etc.) with a “one-stop shop” for obtaining ISR data.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities will be work with identified framework providers and identified IC/DoD Element Chief Data Officer (CDO) organizations to ensure newly transformed data resources within the Common Data Fabric (CDF) are properly represented in enterprise data catalog offerings.  In this role, you will be involved in the following:

• Work to provide the enterprise clear understanding of CDF integrations and support to external data sharing frameworks

• Ensure that all data holdings and all transformation logic that is implemented within the CDF Master Data Management (MDM) Platform is transparent to the community.

• Coordinate with CDO organizations across the enterprise to identify ways to collaborate and integrate with agency level and enterprise level data catalogs

• Provide status, documentation, and reporting both internally and externally on collaboration efforts

Required Skills

• Active TS/SCI CI Poly clearance

• 10+ years of experience working in the DoD and/or Intelligence Community

• Demonstrated experience cataloging, organizing, and summarizing community dataset attributes for discovery and governance

• Demonstrated experience supporting and informing initiatives which enable data sharing such as tagging data and standardizing

• Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Responsive, resourceful, proactive, and efficient individual

• Possess a DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (e.g. Security+) or the ability to obtain the certification within 60 days.

Desired Skills

• Demonstrable experience working in or with Chief Data Officer Organizations with the DoD/IC enterprise.

• Experience working with Trusted Data Format (TDF) and Enterprise Data Header (EDH)

• Working knowledge of foundational ETL concepts and COTS/FOSS ETL tools.

 
Years of Experience: 12 years of experience or more.
Education: Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, computer engineering, or a related technical field (preferred)
