Tools Engineer w/ 10 years experience

    Software systems configuration manager and administrator of software development lifecycle tools such as, but not limited to, IBM Rational, IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management and HP Services Manager. Good communication and documentation skills a must. Strong skills in problem solving needed. Management of complex personalities as team lead.

Participate in the research, analysis and recommendation of software productivity tools to support Key Management development efforts.

Develop and maintain software productivity tools installation, integration, development and configuration plans.

Develop, tailor and maintain associated technical documentation for software productivity tools.

Perform regular backup of software productivity tools databases, datasets and files.

Monitor, track, and manage software productivity tools, licenses, and associated media.

Provide support for the installation, integration, development, customization and configuration of s/w productivity tools (including but not limited to IBM/Rational Tools, HP Service Manager) in support of Key Management efforts.

Provide consulting, training and hands-on expertise to project personnel to include Key Management personnel in the use of software tools.

Integrate software productivity tools to implement existing and proposed project processes in use.

 

​​​​​​Qualifications: Ten (10) years combined experience as a software engineer, system engineer, system administrator or configuration management engineer. Six (6) years experience as a tools engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited institution is required. Four (4) years of additional experience as a software engineer, system engineer, system administrator, or configuration management experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree
