Integrator/DevOps: Principal Systems Engineer III

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
  • TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION YOU MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE TS/SCI W/ FULL SCOPE POLYGRAPH SECURITY CLEARANCE (U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED)
• Experience architecting and designing hardware and software solutions for large cloud environments such as OpenStack or Kubernetes clusters (>200nodes) .
• Experience writing software scripts using scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or Ruby for software automation.
• Experience planning and implementing storage and network solutions for complex, high performance systems composed of Linux-based hardware platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to design, and document interfaces, standards, data flows and scenarios for distributed cloud environments.
• Demonstrated experience integrating systems using virtualization management tools such as Amazon EC2 KVM, VMware, or XenServer.
• Demonstrated experience planning and implementing Infrastructure as a Service (laas) platforms such as OpenStack or Eucalyptus cloud computing services.
• Demonstrated experience planning and implementing Platform as a Service (Paas) platforms such as OpenShift or Kubernetes cloud orchestration services.

 
Optional Skills
• Experience with firewall / router configuration.
• Experience with Eucalyptus or OpenStack virtualization management tools.
• Experience with VMware or similar virtualization system.
• Experience with Kubernetes cloud orchestration APIs and management tools.
• Experience provisioning and sustaining network infrastructures and have experience developing, operating, and managing networks required to operate in a secure PKI, IPSEC or VPN enabled environment.
• Experience developing, provisioning and sustaining distributed storage infrastructures such as NetApp, Ceph, or Gluster, and experience integrating storage infrastructures with cloud technologies, such as OpenStack or Kubernetes.

 
DESCRIPTION
• Plan and implement Infrastructure as a Service (laas) platforms, such as OpenStack or Eucalyptus Platform as a Service (PaaS) platforms, such as OpenShift or Kubernetes, and distributed storage, and network solutions for complex, high performance systems composed of LINUX-based hardware platforms.
• Architect and design hardware and software solutions for large cloud environments such as OpenStack or Kubernetes clusters (>200 nodes).
• Design and document interfaces, standards, dataflows and scenarios for distributed cloud environments.
• Integrate systems using virtualization management tools such as Amazon EC2, KVM, VMware, or XenServer.
• Provide overall systems engineering expertise in the architecture, design, development, requirements analysis, data flow, network design and/or implementation, or testing for the program.

 
REQUIRED: Minimum eighteen (18) years experience in technical roles for Government or Industry customer.
REQUIRED: Twelve (12) years experience as a systems, software, or hardware engineer in programs that encompassed: System architecture development; Performing requirements analysis, management and control; multiple activities with multiple vendors; large systems engineering efforts totaling more than $15M/year, or Management and evaluation of business processes and implementation strategies.
REQUIRED: Minimum three (3) years direct experience with an IC or signals intelligence activity.
REQUIRED: Experience in a broad range of knowledge, including information technology, requirements, architecture development, and functional and systems analysis.
REQUIRED: Experience in the following areas: Implementing systems providing knowledge/information sharing capabilities including the following disciplines: System design, Integrating COTS products and technologies into cohesive customer capabilities; System production; System integration; System test; Transition of systems into operations; Web services implementation; Web interfaces; J2EE; Web portal technologies.
REQUIRED: Experience in providing technical leadership and direction in supporting the application of sound system engineering concepts.
