Software Developer w/ Ruby, Java, and Agile

Hanover, Maryland
This position requires that you be eligible to obtain a background check and/or be eligible for a high level US Govt Security Clearance (US Citizenship is Required).

Roles and responsibilities

  • Work with internal product development team to create/enhance the SIMP product line.
  • Write and maintain the back end software components used by the SIMP Product.
  • Gather requirements from customers and stakeholders and work with a design team to scope, schedule, and integrate into the product.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Proficiency with Ruby
  • Proficiency in at least one of: Go, Clojure, or Java
  • Self-starter with a desire and willingness to adapt and learn new frameworks and libraries.
  • Familiarity with Agile and KanBan methodologies
  • A desire to work as part of a team, a willingness to cross-train
  • This position requires that you be able to pass a background check

Bonus Points

  • Proficiency with Puppet
  • Proficiency with Ansible
  • Experience with information security and/or security compliance
  • Experience working with a geographically dispersed team
  • Interest in or experience with CyberSecurity, DevOps, Puppet/Salt/Chef, or Automation
  • ​No degree is required but it is considered a bonus.
