Platform Engineer 2-FC

This person will help build, test, and maintain the infrastructure and tools to allow for the speedy development and release of software. Work closely with development, and operations teams to automate processes, enhance system reliability, and improve deployment pipelines. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced with Ansible, and passionate about automation and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Ensure platform security, compliance, and adherence to best practices
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and platform-related issues

Design, build, and maintain internal platforms that support application development and deployment
Monitor system performance, reliability, and availability using observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
Automate operational processes to reduce manual intervention and improve efficiency
Collaborate with software engineering teams to improve developer experience and deployment workflows


Qualification Requirements:   Ten (10) years' experience as a Platform Engineer is required.
Qualification Requirements: Five (5) years' experience supporting and installing on Linux, Unix, Windows, or Cisco OS operation systems.
Qualification Requirements: One (1) year experience configuring, troubleshooting, monitoring, and testing a messaging service (such as Java Messaging Service, TIBCO, ActiveMQ, Artemis, Kafka).
Qualification Requirements: One (1) year experience building/installing packages such as .iso and RedHat Package Managers (rpm).
Qualification Requirements:   Three (3) years' experience each supporting three (3) of the following tools/topics: Puppet, Ansible, clustering solutions, writing scripts, building, and maintaining storage arrays.
Qualification Requirements: One (1) year experience creating and maintaining virtual machines (for example, using VMWARE).
Qualification Requirements: Ability to run Security Scans on systems (such as Nessus).
Qualification Requirements: Ability to provide documentation for Security accreditation.

Desired Qualifications: Five (5) years’ experience using configuration management tools (such vas GIT, Confluence, Redmine) for document repository, software repository, and building software.
Desired Qualifications: Four (4) years’ experience configuring, troubleshooting, monitoring, and testing TIBCO EMS or ActiveMQ messaging.

Bachelor's degree in a computer engineering or in a field related to the computer engineering or computer science disciplines is required. Four (4) years of additional Platform Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
CWIP IAT Level II Certification, CWIP IA Baseline Certification.

Compensation: We are committed to providing fair and competitive compensation. The salary range for this position is $78,000 to $250,000 per year. This range reflects the compensation offered across the locations where we hire. The exact salary will be determined based on the candidate's work location, specific role, skill set, and level of expertise.
