REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience supporting IT infrastructure, including server installation, rack/stack activities, cabling, hardware troubleshooting, and system bring-up
  • Ability to configure and troubleshoot servers to ensure proper network connectivity and accessibility
  • Working knowledge of Linux system administration and common troubleshooting techniques
  • Familiarity with networking concepts including IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and connectivity troubleshooting
  • Experience supporting virtualization technologies such as VMware, Xen, or Nutanix is a plus
  • Experience with automation tools such as Ansible or similar configuration management technologies is a plus
  • Ability to follow, create, and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures
  • Understanding of system patching, vulnerability remediation, and security compliance requirements is preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies in a hands-on infrastructure environment


Desired Skills:

  • Experience with server hardware installation, including rack mounting, cable management, component replacement, and hardware troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with data center or lab environment operations, including equipment deployment, inventory management, and infrastructure maintenance
  • Experience with Linux administration, including system configuration, service management, log analysis, package management, and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Bash, Python, or PowerShell
  • Familiarity with JIRA & Confluence



Description:
• Provide system support to a software development program.
• Provide set-up, configuration, and software installation for development, test, and production systems in both Cloud and non-Cloud architectures.
• Interface directly with development team as well as system end users.
• Assist with system specifications and configurations.
• Script common SA functions.
• Determine system optimizations.
• Ensure systems comply with existing enterprise licensing agreements.
• Troubleshoot Linux systems identifying hardware, software (both OS and application level), and networking issues.

Qualifications:
• Five (5) years of experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required or 9 years without the degree.
• Experience with Linux System administration is required.

Compensation: We are committed to providing fair and competitive compensation. The salary range for this position is $78,000 to $250,000 per year. This range reflects the compensation offered across the locations where we hire. The exact salary will be determined based on the candidate's work location, specific role, skill set, and level of expertise.
