REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Responsibilities: 

  • Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime
  • Manage physical hardware, including setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting for development network environments
  • Perform hands-on hardware troubleshooting, including component replacement, equipment installation, cable management, and system validation
  • Configure and verify server connectivity to ensure systems are reachable and properly integrated into the network environment
  • Develop and implement automation scripts using Ansible to streamline processes and improve efficiency
  • Configure, manage, and support virtualization platforms such as VMWare, Xen, or Nutanix
  • Diagnose and resolve network-related issues, ensuring seamless connectivity and performance
  • Work with the ISSO/ISSE team to configure devices to meet STE/STN compliance requirements
  • Administer patches to maintain STE/STN compliance requirements
  • Assist with Windows patching when necessary to maintain a secure and compliant infrastructure

Requirements:

  • Strong Linux System Administration experience
  • Hands-on hardware experience to include rack configuration, cabling, hardware troubleshooting, and maintenance
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMWare, Xen, Nutanix)
  • Network troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of STE/STN and vulnerability patching
Desired Skills:
  • Proficiency in Ansible scripting and automation
  • Windows Server Maintenance
  • Familiarity with Jira & Confluence

    Qualifications:
    • Five (5) years of experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required or 9 years without the degree.
    • Experience with Linux System administration is required.

Compensation: We are committed to providing fair and competitive compensation. The salary range for this position is $78,000 to $250,000 per year. This range reflects the compensation offered across the locations where we hire. The exact salary will be determined based on the candidate's work location, specific role, skill set, and level of expertise.
