NiFi Engineer

  • Position Overview: We are looking for a Data Engineer with a strong background in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines. As a key member of our data team, build and maintain a variety of applications and services, build CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments, and manage the services deployed in an operational cloud environment. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the software solutions deploy efficiently and reliably as part of the program’s CI/CD pipelines to support the customer’s mission.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software systems using Python.

  • Ensure data pipelines are scalable, reliable, and capable of handling complex data workflows.

  • Integrate data from various sources, such as APIs, databases, and third-party systems.

  • Develop and enforce data quality standards and validation procedures.

  • Work closely with DevOps engineers to automate deployment processes and ensure the reliability of data systems in the production environments.

  • Mentor junior team members and promote best practices in data engineering methodologies and tools (for Data Engineer III candidates)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 1-5 years of experience in software development with strong experience in data engineering (5-10 for Data Engineer II and 10+ for Data Engineer III)

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.

  • Hands-on experience with database technologies including Postgres, Elastic, Redis, and MongoDB

  • Experience with data pipeline tools and frameworks such as NiFi and Apache Airflow

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

  • Understanding of DevOps principles and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, and infrastructure as code.

  • Experience with data tagging requirements for DoD and IC customers

Compensation:
We are committed to providing fair and competitive compensation. The salary range for this position is $78,000 to $250,000 per year. This range reflects the compensation offered across the locations where we hire. The exact salary will be determined based on the candidate's work location, specific role, skill set, and level of expertise.
