Tech Experience: Linux
We provide world-wide, enterprise-scaled corporate data transport and messaging services that are highly available, reliable, and fault tolerant and critical to National Security. We are looking to add a Systems Test Engineer to our Low Latency Messaging Services Team. This team is responsible for developing, deploying, and supporting a subscription based messaging capability, enabling mission applications to communicate in near-real time.
Position Responsibilities:
• Testing web-based GUIs, Enterprise Java Applications, or Messaging Systems.
• Evaluating web-based GUIs for Section 508 compliance.
• Working with REST and testing REST-based web services.
• Understanding of relational databases and experience with SQL queries and validating results.
• Using scripting languages to automate testing on a Linux platform.
Desired Skills:
• Proficiency in scripting and working in a Linux OS
• Proven experience as a Software/Systems Test Engineer or similar role
• Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Qualification Requirements: Five (5) years’ experience as a TE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Qualification Requirements:Public Key Enabling (PKE), RESTful services and containers (Oracle WebLogic, JBoss, Tomcat), Java programming language, Perl programming language, Java EE, Secure web (SSL), and file encryption. Qualification Requirements:LDAP (RedHat directory), Java Linux (CentOS), Modern IDEs (IntelliJ, Eclipse, etc.) and Agile Scrum process. Qualification Requirements:Two (2) years' experience testing products written in Java or GoLang. Qualification Requirements:Three (3) years' experience testing in Linux, Unix, Windows, or Cisco OS operating system.
Desired Qualifications:Two (2) years' experience testing a Messaging Service (such as Java Messaging Service, TIBCO, ActiveMQ, Artemis, Kafka). Desired Qualifications: One (1) year experience using a requirement tracking tool (such as Redmine, Jira). Desired Qualifications: One (1) year experience using automated testing tools.
Bachelor’s degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Statistics, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional TE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. CWIP: IAT Level I Certification, IA Baseline Certification.
Compensation: We are committed to providing fair and competitive compensation. The salary range for this position is $78,000 to $250,000 per year. This range reflects the compensation offered across the locations where we hire. The exact salary will be determined based on the candidate's work location, specific role, skill set, and level of expertise.
