Build Environment Administrator/DevOps Engineer

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION YOU MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE TS/SCI WITH THE  ABILITY TO OBTAIN A CI POLYGRAPH SECURITY CLEARANCE (U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED)


​​​​​​Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain the organization's build environments, including build tools, build servers, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot build tools and servers, including OpenProject, GitLab, and Nexus
  • Develop and maintain build scripts and templates to automate build processes and configurations
  • Implement and maintain configuration as code (CaC) processes and tools to manage build configurations and changes
  • Monitor build performance, diagnose and resolve issues, and implement tuning and optimization measures as needed
  • Develop and maintain build documentation, including build guides and standard operating procedures
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate build environments with development processes and workflows
  • Ensure that build environments are compliant with organizational policies and procedures, as well as any applicable regulatory requirements, including NIST SP 800-171r2 and DoDI 5200.48
  • Maintain current knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in build administration, and recommend improvements to the organization's build environments
Required Skills:
  • Strong understanding of build administration principles and methodologies, with experience in Gitlab administration
  • Familiarity with configuration as code (CaC) processes and tools such as Ansible or Puppet
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex build issues in a timely manner
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with users and stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience with build monitoring and performance tuning tools
  • Experience with source code management tools such as Git or SVN
Desired Skills:
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS
  • Scripting experience in Bash, Python, or Perl
  • Experience working with regulatory compliance requirements such as NIST SP 800-171r2 and DoDI 5200.48 is required
Years of Experience:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience

Desired Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
